Welcome to London Mindfulness Meditation Centre

Welcome to London Mindfulness Meditation Centre

The London Mindfulness Meditation Centre was established to facilitate the teaching and sharing of the Buddhist mindfulness practice in order to better understand its concept and benefits.

Mindfulness Meditation is a process of learning how to deal with the different situations in our daily life mindfully, a life skill aiding in tranquillity, personal insight and realization of your own self. It is believed to help manage stress, reduce anxiety and increase inner calm. This in-turn leads to an improved sense of focus, clearer state of mind and an overall enhancement to a person’s emotional and physical well-being.

We share our noble services with no discrimination of colour, creed or gender. Our Centre has highly spiritual environment with a beautiful shrine room of the statue of Buddha. The Centre’s activities and services, primarily based on the teachings of the Buddha within the Theravada tradition of Buddhism, are free of charge and runs entirely on donation. Your generous donation helps to keep its activities. Click here for donation

Buddhism

Buddhism refers to the teachings of the historical Buddha (Sakyamuni Gotama) who lived about 600 BCE. Buddhist teaching is the law of nature or absolute reality of all Buddhas. The Buddha did not teach that a God created the Universe. Liberation can come from one’s own efforts only.

THINGS TO BE AWARE

  • Not to point legs towards the Buddha/teachers/monks as it may cause sign of offence to many. Shoes are not permitted inside the shrine/halls
